Changes at Birkenshaw Primary School
To accommodate this change, whilst continuing to offer the advantages of accessing a teacher-led Nursery, Birkenshaw Primary are looking to offer up to 30 hours to eligible children starting in September 2017.
All children will continue to access a minimum of 15 hours spread over either 5 mornings or 5 afternoons. They will then have the option of a lunch club which will run from 11.30am – 12.30pm. There will be a charge for the lunch club, with parents providing a packed lunch of approximately £5.25 per day.
If you meet the criteria above and are eligible to access up to 30 hours, your child will attend either 5 mornings or 5 afternoons, but could also take advantage of extra morning or afternoon sessions, on the days of your choice, to access up to 30 hours. On the days that your child will be attending morning and afternoon sessions, you would have the option of accessing our paid lunch club or taking your child home for lunch.
N.B. The offer of a place in Nursery is not a guarantee of a place in School, and your child must be registered separately for admission to each.
Registration forms for admission to Nursery are available from the school office alternatively you can download the document from our website. Please be aware that we will need to see your child's birth certificate at the time of registration
